How distance is measured - Find a School

Within our admission policy we take into account an applicant's nearest school. Distances are measured in a straight line from the address point of the child's home address to the nearest official school gate for pupils to use. (The official gates are located in Heathcote and Tadorne Road.) This is calculated by the Surrey School map published on Surrey County Council’s website which can be found at https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/admissions/about-map/find-a-school.  

If you would like to apply for a place at Tadworth Primary (other than in Reception 2022-23) it is necessary for you to contact the school directly. An In-Year Admission Form needs to be completed. Guidance notes on completing this form can be found here. Admissions to Tadworth are based on our current  Admissions Policy 2021-22.

Academic Year 2022-23

Admissions to Reception at Tadworth Primary, in the academic year in which your child will reach five years of age, are handled by Surrey County Council. Registration will open in  November 2021 and can be accessed via www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/admissions/primary-junior-and-infant/apply 

Places at Tadworth Primary School in Reception 2022-23 will be allocated according to our Admission Policy 2022-23. Offer letters will be issued on 19 April 2022.

There is an appeal process in place, details are available via www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/admissions/appeals.  Appeals lodged by 18 May 2022 will be heard by 20 July 2022. Appeals lodged after this date will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days after being lodged, whichever is the later date.
