Eligibility for Free School Meals (inc Application Form)

Your child may be entitled to receive free school meals if you are entitled to receive one of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income based Job Seeker's Allowance
  • An income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Child Tax Credit (provided that you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income, assessed by HM Revenue & Customs, that from 6 April 2009 does not exceed £16,190)

For every child registered for a free school meal, the school will receive money to spend on extra resources.  It is called the 'Pupil Premium' and is worth £600.00 per child.
